WES application: A foot-in-the-door moment
I finally decided to apply for transcripts at my university with photocopy of my degree certificate. On the way to work, I stopped by at a convenience store and bought an A4 size cloth cover to neatly enclose my application.
Once I reached office, I digitally filled the forms and verified the details. Office secretary at my workplace was happy to get some printouts for me. I emailed her the digital files of my application and the degree certificate.
The peon delivered the printouts at my cabin. I signed on the dotted line in the printouts and neatly organised the sheets in order.
My friend had clear instructions from his university about payment for transcripts. I was confused if I have to make a payment per certificate or per page. My junior said he would clarify in the concerned office and let me know.
I didn’t have my junior Subro’s address. Subro had volunteered to submit my papers in the university. I pinged him to text me his address. Once I received the same, I was confused with his full name. Another clarification sought. Once I had his details handy, I neatly scribbled his details on the envelope.
The papers were just tight-fitting in the envelope. I chose to seal it with cellophane tape instead of stapler. The latter could lead to damage of my papers when opening. Now, my courier is ready. I asked my friend to send it by speed post along with his courier. He obliged. He sent the courier and handed me the waybill number. I sent the waybill details to Subro. He received the parcel on Thursday, that’s two days later. Subro texted me that he would submit the papers on 31st Dec, Friday of 2021. I thought he would have. Much to my dismay, he forgot to submit on Friday. So the task is carried over to 2022. I am hoping he must be able to submit my tomorrow.
